This is a joint venture with my Australian friend Hugh Mathews, former head of Lindemann’s Estate. He left several years ago to set up his own grape buying company. We operate RED DUST similar to the Clos Robert winery, where we buy ½ our needs in grapes, and blend the rest from bulk we buy from our "famous neighbors"… usually adding 5% Merlot to soften, and lower the alcohol level, but maintain the spice of a wine worth twice as much.
