In the South of France, this area produces large quantities of wine. Some of the best regions like Corbieres and the Cotes du Roussillon produce much smaller yields and focus on quality rather than quantity. This is also a region where organically grown grapes are quite possible due to the favorable weather conditions.
This is the fourth vintage for this unique white wine from the Côte du Roussillon. It is made from a unique blend of Grenache Gris, Greanche Blanc, Macabeo, and now Vermentino (Rolle) makes it into the blend. The production of this wine is about 6,000 cases with 2,100 imported into the US market.
The 2014 Vintage has just arrived.
Only 4% of the grape production of this area is given to white wine, so the production will always be limited.
